Product Testing Technician
£40,000 - £45,000 | Swanley, Kent | Permanent

An established product-based manufacturer is looking for a Product Testing & Applications Technician to join their growing engineering team. This innovative organisation designs and manufactures advanced safety and technology products for use across a wide range of vehicles and machinery. Their work combines precision engineering, cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to improving safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct technical testing, evaluation, verification, and validation of products and systems
Provide vehicle-related technical expertise to guide product development and resolve engineering challenges
Support and improve installation and application processes, reducing time and enhancing user experience
Carry out benchmarking, troubleshooting, and performance analysis of new and existing products
Lead the installation and setup of trial systems on vehicles, both in-house and for customers
Contribute to documentation, prototype builds, and technical reporting
Offer technical support and training to internal teams and customers
Essential skills and experience:

Hands-on experience with vehicle electrical systems (HGV or commercial vehicle experience preferred)
Confident in installation, diagnosis, and modification of electrical components and systems
Familiar with Microsoft 365 and standard technical documentation tools
Methodical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
Flexibility to travel within the UK and support vehicle trials when needed
Package & Benefits

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
Bonus:
Discretionary annual performance bonus

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
