Functional Skills Teacher

Rikama Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Bexley, catering to pupils aged 8-16 with a range of needs, including SEMH. The school is looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to join them from January 2026, delivering English and Maths, with potential involvement in subjects like Science or ICT.

• Delivering tailored Functional Skills sessions in English and Maths, both one-to-one and in small groups.
• Supporting learners to achieve Functional Skills Level 1 and 2 qualifications.
• Adapting materials and teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Collaborating with a team committed to inclusive education and positive outcomes.

• Holds a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, DTLLS, PGCE in FE).
• Has Level 3 or above in Functional Skills English, Maths, and ICT.
• Brings experience from SEN or alternative provision settings (desirable).
• Is patient, adaptable and driven by a desire to help learners overcome challenges.
