Special Education Teacher

Job description includes, but is not limited to:

• Complete evaluations, write IEPs, progress reports
• Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities
• Modify curriculum to grade level entry points as needed, implement functional academic curricula including vocational skills, community activities, activities of daily living, social skills, leisure skills
• Implement behavior support plans and collect data to inform progress and interventions
• Consult with general education teachers and staff
• Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Social Thinking Curricula, and Zones of Regulation required
• Facilitate social skills groups and incidental teaching techniques for social skills
• Communication with families

Qualifications:

• Master's level required
• 3 years of experience
• Moderate or Intense Disabilities DESE certification in the required grade level
