Job Summary

The full-time mathematics faculty member will teach mathematics classes within the Department of Mathematical Sciences on the Georgia Southern University - East Georgia Campus. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face and online formats. Travel between campus locations may be necessary.

Required Qualifications

* Earned Master's degree (or higher) in Mathematics or closely related field with at least eighteen graduate-level semester credit hours of specific work in Mathematics required.

* Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.

* Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

* Demonstrated commitment to teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

* Successful college teaching experience is desirable.

* Ability to teach face-to-face and online courses.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

* Knowledge of college policies and procedures.

* Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.

* Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.

* Skill in the provision of customer services.

* Skill in oral and written communication.
