Job Role Overview

As a Community Care Assistant your role is to provide essential personal care and support to multiple individuals with a variation of needs, and essentially to help them maintain independence and dignity within the comfort of their own homes.

  • Providing personal care such as washing, dressing, and supporting personal hygiene
  • Assisting with meal preparation, shopping, and light household tasks
  • Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Prompting or administering medication in line with individual care plans
  • Observing and reporting any changes in wellbeing to the office or on-call team

Travelling between service users within Swadlincote (fuel allowance provided)

Working full-time hours, including some weekdays and weekends as part of a rota

Pay Rates

  • Non-Qualified Carers:
    Weekdays £12.65 per hour
  • Qualified Carers (Level 2+):
    Weekdays £13.10 per hour

(Enhanced rates may apply depending on hours worked)

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Previous care experience is welcome but not essential – full training provided
