Waking Nights Support Worker

Rate: £12.21 per hour
Real Life Options provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. We provide individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy fulfilled life within their own homes. The service comprises of 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.
AboutThe Role
You will be supporting individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible, this involves:
- following daily planners
- helping with financial expenditure
- domestic support and administration of medication
There may also be some support with:
- personal care
- meal planning/preparation
- maintaining important relationships
- support to find new friendships
A rewarding part of the role will be encouraging participation in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion. Seeking new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support which could include volunteering roles and further education access.
Shift Patterns- 10pm - 7am (Waking Nights) on a rota, you will be required to work weekends and bank holidays with planned time off.
Flexibility to cover any of these shift patterns over the 7 day weekly period is essential.
An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
