Master's degree in social work required.
Experience QualificationsTwo years successful social work experience post master's level required.
Skills QualificationsKnowledge of early childhood development, family dynamics, and crisis intervention; sensitive interviewing skills; ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal; ability to collect and analyze data; strong organizational skills; ability to act as a representative of Gwinnett County Public Schools; and ability to work successfully with colleagues.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide direct casework, service coordination, and crisis intervention services to students, families, and local school staff and support the Director of Health and Social Services with departmental duties.
This is an itinerant position and requires travel between schools. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
