SummaryThis technical role will combine the skills necessary to efficiently perform service and repair support for our customer base on conveyor systems and loading dock equipment. Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of equipment such as conveyors, drive components, pumps, control devices, loading equipment and overhead doors. The role ensures that customers are safe and in compliance with ANSI regulations related to the safety scope.
Responsibilities- Deliver and install all types of loading dock equipment and accessories.
- Service and repair broken, worn or damaged conveyor, loading dock equipment and accessories.
- Document and communicate necessary additional repairs or safety concerns relating to loading dock and conveyor equipment.
- Installation and repair of warehouse products, storage racking, stretch wrap machines, conveyor systems, etc.
- Maintenance and repair of commercial compactors and balers.
- Perform planned maintenance on conveyor systems.
- Replace defective parts and align rollers, straighten parts, remove and replace conveyor belts as needed; tighten bolts and adjust belt tension.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control devices, running belts, conveyor circuits up to 480 V.
- Welding (preferably certified).
- Commercial door and dock equipment experience.
- Some electrical knowledge.
- Operate a scissor lift and forklifts (training and certification provided).
- Complete work orders, produce neat, clean, legible, organized paperwork.
- Lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally more).
- Maintain excellent driving record and service vehicle upkeep.
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience.
Must have physical stamina to perform continuously with full-body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting, and other tasks. Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents requiring proper safety procedures. Work occurs at customer locations, including manufacturing, warehouses, cold storage facilities, and occasionally in difficult or outdoor environments.
