ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a growing international distribution company headquartered in Suwanee, GA, and we’re looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP function through an exciting period of growth — including an upcoming ERP system implementation. Employee tenure here is exceptionally high, and we invest in people for the long term.
This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) managing a team of 3 AP Coordinators. This is not a transactional position — we need a process-oriented leader who can drive invoice resolution, build scalable workflows, and develop their team’s decision-making capabilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Lead, mentor, and develop 3 AP Coordinators
- Train coordinators to make business decisions on invoice discrepancies — e.g., determining whether a difference should be written off, researched, or re-invoiced by the supplier
- Own the daily and monthly reconciliation process for accrued invoices (inventory AP)
- Drive invoice resolution with operations teams and suppliers
- Identify and implement process improvements across the AP function
- Play a key role in an upcoming ERP system implementation — contributing AP expertise, testing, and cross-functional coordination
- Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain on invoice workflows
- Collaborate with the broader accounting and finance team on month-end close and accruals
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including AP management
- General accounting knowledge: accruals, reconciliations, month-end close
- Experience managing and developing AP teams
- Strong process improvement mindset — you build systems, not just process transactions
- Comfortable working across operations, procurement, and supplier relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Inventory or distribution AP experience
- Experience in an international distribution environment
- Profit sharing plan
- 401(k) with non-elective employer match
- 15 days PTO
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision
- Hybrid schedule — 3 days in office, 2 days remote
This is a high-impact leadership role at a company that values its people — just look at the tenure. You’ll have the chance to shape how AP operates, develop a team, and leave a real mark on a growing international organization.
