Operations Manager
Safety Manager – Price Industries – Stone Mountain, GA. Salary: $63,100 – $115,700.
The Safety Manager will lead and develop a team of Safety professionals, creating and executing leadership development plans. The manager will communicate expectations, provide frequent feedback, and ensure the team executes Price Safety core competencies.
Responsibilities- Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal regulations and company policy.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable Price Safety and Environment Policies.
- Measure site’s performance against published safety policy requirements, identify deficiency plans, and drive accountability.
- Analyze safety metrics and review incident trends to allocate resources to high‑risk areas.
- Perform frequent site safety audits, identify non‑compliant equipment or processes, and implement solutions to eliminate exposure and prevent injury.
- Audit record‑keeping practices and HSI entries for compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Audit workplace organization and employee behaviors to ensure consistent training, auditing, and scoring methods.
- Ensure leadership and employees are trained on policy responsibilities, audit training quality, and effectiveness.
- Keep SWPPP and Site Spill Prevention Action Plan updated and compliant with local agencies.
- Develop, implement, and manage facility training programs for hourly and salary employees.
- Manage the workers‑compensation program, ensuring prompt injury and illness reporting and follow‑up.
- Perform hazard assessments for new equipment and operations in line with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee industrial hygiene and workers’ health programs.
- Lead incident investigation program for occupational health and safety incidents.
- Serve as the EHS subject‑matter expert for management and employee safety committees.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments to reduce potential MSD hazards.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibility in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
- Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification.
- Experience as a PIT trainer.
- English and Spanish language proficiency.
