Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Technician 1 – HealthcareResponsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic communication systems, with experience in VOIP, SIP, computer, and networking systems. The technician ensures efficient installation, minimal downtime, and optimal performance while communicating system status to customers.
Responsibilities- Final hookup and programming of electronic equipment on new jobs
- Respond promptly to customer service issues
- Test and document system readings
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic components
- Handle on‑call duties on a regular scheduled basis
- Train customers on proper equipment use
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Operate test equipment (voltmeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, multimeter, impedance meter)
- Assist with preventive maintenance of customer equipment
- Maintain accurate tracking on timesheets, service/installation tickets, and inventory records
- Full compliance with the company’s and customers’ safety programs
- Perform other duties as required by company management
- A two‑year electronics degree or equivalent education and 1–3 years of related experience
- Working knowledge of communications systems
- Experience with VoIP, telephony, data networks, wireless data, fire alarm, CCTV, sound systems, or nurse call applications is preferred
- Cisco and Microsoft certifications desirable
- Minimum:
High school graduate, basic English proficiency, basic math skills, ability to read CAD prints and building blueprints, solid grasp of basic electronics/electrical theory, PC proficiency, and aptitude in simple engineering and construction - Preferred:
Associate degree in Electronics, IT, or Computer Programming; NSCA CEST Certification; NICET certification; RCDD and factory training are a plus
Some out‑of‑town travel may be required.

- Light lifting up to 50 lbs
- Reaching, grasping, and carrying activities required
- Moderate noise level in work environment
- Occasional outside activities subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations
