Job Description

Responsibilities- Provides immunizations, takes vitals, rooms patients, performs clinical and clerical duties.
- Prepares patients for physician visits, performs tests and files appropriate documents.
- Receives and directs phone calls, obtains necessary patient information and updates records.
- Assists physicians and nursing personnel with patient care.
- Delivers quality customer service and maintains established quality control standards.
- Checks out patients, assists with referral processing, arranges laboratory services.
- Prepares patients for examination, takes vitals, records health history.
- Sets up EKG machines and other ancillary tests, administers injections and medications.
- Prepares equipment and examination rooms, cleans instruments.
- Assists physician with treatments, procedures, and exams.
- Manages inventory of medical supplies and equips exam rooms.
- Manages messages, prior authorizations, patient calls.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, RMA) required; applicants with >5 years experience may be considered without certification for level‑1.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA.
- Ability to complete competency assessments within 90 days.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; understanding of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of medical practices, administrative processes, and organization policies.
- Compassion, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) and basic computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team; punctual.
