We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to assist in digitizing legacy tooling and die drawings. This role is ideal for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) who have a strong interest in CAD systems and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities- Convert paper-based tooling and die drawings into digital CAD files for long‑term storage and backup.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency when transferring data from physical diagrams to CAD workflow.
- Organize and maintain digital files within the company’s CAD system.
- Collaborate with engineering and tooling teams to clarify specifications as needed.
- Currently enrolled in a BSME program.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with CAD workflows in a professional setting.
- Exposure to tooling and die design fundamentals.
- Insight into digital archiving and engineering documentation processes.
