SW Engineers in Test at Lunar Energy will be responsible for creation of test software and hardware solutions for the validation of the product throughout the entire lifecycle of our revolutionary home energy products. This includes being involved in all aspects of the execution of firmware validation, reliability, and production testing.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…

• This role would be at our Contract Manufacturer in Suwanee, Georgia
  .
• Collaborate, either in‑office or remotely, with our test engineering team, firmware team, and IT group to enable high product throughput.
• Monitor our test yields and help push enhancements as warranted.
• Collaborate with technicians to get and test systems prepared for test execution.
• Develop test scripts to exercise units as intended during the test.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on tester failures, including opening the enclosure to inspect wiring, replacing faulty components (relays, PS, pogos, etc.), and diagnosing and resolving malfunctions.
• Process and analyze test data using various software tools to validate system performance.
• Share test results with detailed reports and documentation.
• Documentation responsibilities include:
• Maintain logs of bugs and fixes in Git for software updates.
• Maintain “Redline” updates for electrical schematics or test procedures when hardware changes are made.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Leverage off‑the‑shelf technologies for data collection, automation, and execution.
• Write data processing scripts to interpret results.
• Work with firmware, reliability, and manufacturing engineers to capture requirements for tester design and execute them.

• Background in Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Maintain test automation software for test and HIL equipment using LabVIEW and NI Test Stand.
• Understanding of how embedded, real‑time systems work and firmware behavior.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in LabVIEW and NI Test Stand.
• Experience preparing verification procedures for ATE & test automation software and carrying out tests for verification, reliability and manufacturing.
• Experience selecting and programming data acquisition devices & bench‑top instruments such as programmable bi‑directional power supplies, loads, oscilloscopes.
• Experience with cDAQ, cRIO, DAQ, PXI.
• Experience in ATE integration, debugging and testing.
• Ability to understand schematics, CAD drawings, BOM, and design documents for test stations.
• Protocol experience: i2c, SPI, RS‑485/232, Ethernet protocols (UDP, TCP).
• LabVIEW and Test Stand certification preferred.
• Ability to own test systems end to end (concept to reality).
• Occasional domestic or international travel (
