Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Coordinator, Continuous Improvement in Suwanee, GA.

Hours are: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will report to the Sr Manager, Distribution and will work closely with the Continuous Improvement (CI) team and Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) Suwanee Warehouse to support continuous improvement deployment. The CI Coordinator will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects associated with lean. In addition, they will provide support to the Suwanee Warehouse team to reduce waste.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS Business Responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate orally and via writing with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to weigh and manage priorities.
  • Assists with co-delivering training.
  • Exercises flexibility and diplomacy in interpersonal relationships.
  • Coaching employees on how to write and update standard work documentation
  • Maintain standard work documentation for warehouse.
Process Improvement Responsibilities
  • Utilizes analytical and synthesis skills to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicates key insights and findings to warehouse team
  • Organize and execute time studies throughout the warehouse to assess operational efficiency
  • Conducts and coaches on process audits in warehouse
  • Assists process owners with developing and/or fine tuning True North Metrics and Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) Process.
  • Collect data related to current processes, flows, and improvement opportunities.
  • Performs other job functions on as needed basis.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and/or Lean principles.
  • Collaborate with teams to pinpoint inefficiencies in warehouse processes and support efforts to eliminate waste, driving continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for following up on action items post Kaizen events and A3 projects
  • Assist with root cause analysis on KPI misses
  • Participate in improvement events for Suwanee warehouse
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of Lean/Six Sigma exposure preferred.
  • White Belt Certification or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, focusing on Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
  • Ability to work independently, and as a team member, while using discretion in making decisions and sound judgment in solving problems.
  • Highly organized, quality conscious with great attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $21.93 and $30.14 an hour, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.

Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
