Enclosing Operator – Direct Mail

£14.10 per hour  37.5 hours per week

We’re currently working with a well-established Direct Mail production business who are looking to add an experienced Enclosing Operator to their Mailroom team. This is a hands-on role operating high-speed enclosing equipment in a busy, quality-driven environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Cell Leader, you’ll be responsible for setting, running and optimising enclosing lines to ensure production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are consistently met.

Key responsibilities include:

Setting up and operating enclosing lines to optimal performance
Loading hoppers with correct stock and materials
Understanding Mailsort requirements and ensuring work is trayed and presented correctly
Monitoring quality and output, completing all relevant paperwork
Identifying and escalating issues quickly to Cell or Shift Leaders
Supporting the training and development of Trainees where required
Maintaining high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and PPE compliance
Working to company ISMS, SOPs and quality procedures

Enclosing Operator No1

Shift Pattern

37.5 hours per week, rotating across 3 shifts:

6:00am – 1:30pm
1:30pm – 9:00pm
9:00pm – 6:00am (4 nights only)
Early finish on Fridays:

Days: 6:00am – 12:30pm
Afternoons: 12:30pm – 7:00pmExperience & Skills

Experience operating enclosing machinery (Bluecrest, Böwe, CMC preferred)

Experience with in a Direct Mail / Mailroom environment highly advantageous
Strong understanding of quality, health & safety and production targets
Comfortable working as part of a team and leading by example
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Any enclosing experience considered – training available for the right person

22 days holiday, increasing by 1 day per year up to 27 days
