Overview
Are you highly organised, people-focused and motivated by making a real difference to patient care? Join our team as a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator and play a vital role in shaping every patient's hospital experience at King's Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you'll be at the heart of the patient journey — coordinating care from first referral through to discharge.
Acting as the key point of contact for patients, consultants and clinical teams, you'll ensure appointments, clinics and treatments are planned seamlessly, waiting times are actively managed, and patients feel informed, supported and confident at every stage.
No two days are the same. You'll work closely with Consultant teams to manage clinics and theatre schedules, monitor patient pathways against national targets, resolve issues proactively and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Your attention to detail, strong IT skills and excellent communication will help deliver outstanding patient experiences while supporting the Trust to meet performance standards.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working as part of a supportive team and takes pride in delivering high-quality service. If you're looking for a role where your organisational skills, initiative and compassion truly matter — and where you can see the impact of your work every day — we'd love to hear from you.

About UsWe are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated.
We expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as 'outstanding' for care and our King's Mill Hospital as the only 'outstanding' NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
