Vehicle Technician – Ashfield District Council

Location:

Sutton in Ashfield – Northern Depot. This is a full‑time, permanent position (37 hours per week).

Pay: £32,061 – £34,434 per annum, plus a £4,500 market supplement, allowances and an additional shift payment. The market supplement is reviewed annually.

• Maintain and service a large and varied fleet of vehicles and plant equipment, including 32t refuse collection vehicles and ride‑on mowers.
• Perform routine mechanical inspections, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to ensure all vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
• Carry out MOT testing and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Level 3 HGV vehicle technician certification.
• MOT testing qualifications.
