We’re seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our dynamic supply team, supporting secondary schools across Rotherham.

Role Overview

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise classes during teacher absences across a range of subjects
Deliver lesson plans provided by teaching staff
Manage student behaviour in line with school policies
Ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues

Support students with their learning where appropriate Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times
Requirements

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (A–C or equivalent) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage behaviour confidently and calmly

Previous experience working with young people (desirable) Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
