Class 1 Driver

3 Recruit are an employment business based in Birmingham and our client based in the Minworth area of Birmingham are looking to recruit an LGV 1 driver for regular work starting ASAP. We have starts on both late afternoons and nights. They have both local deliveries and distance work and depending on the shifts required for that week will determine what type of work you will end up on.

Local deliveries will involve you taking out a few deliveries, completing those and then running back into the depot to get a few more. The work is loaded and offloaded by Fork Lift operators, although depending on where you are delivering to there may be a little handball. The vehicles that you will be driving are curtain-sided vehicles with a mix of single and double decked trailers.

For this position you will have needed to hold your LGV 1 drivers licence for at least 2 years and either have a clean licence, although up to 6 points are acceptable if they are for minor offences. If you are unsure please contact Paul Thompson to see if you qualify.
