Due to substantial growth, a leading manufacturer of plastic parts and components to renowned OEMs is currently seeking an experienced Plastic Injection Moulding Toolmaker / Tool Technician to join an established team.

With the acquisition of new orders, the influx of tools coming into the business has significantly increased. Your focus will be the maintenance and repair of these injection mould tools, getting them production ready.

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000, Double day shift, with an early finish on Friday.

• Bench fitting.
• Manual machining using miller, lathes and surface grinders.
• Carrying out proactive maintenance on moulding tools that come from production and logging them in the system.
• Preparing moulding tools in a good condition ready for production.
• Liaising with Setters over issues with mould tools.
• Maintaining spares and equipment to avoid lengthy repair times.
• Investigating issues to find root causes, passing information back to the design department and management so issues can be avoided in future.

• Will be a time served Tool Maker, or have a significant amount of experience in a similar role.
• Will have maintained and repaired Injection moulding tools.
• Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Must be capable in the use of hand, machine and automated computer controlled machine tools and measuring equipment.

Based In North Birmingham, this role is easily commutable from Burton, Leicester, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Redditch, Derby, and all surrounding areas.
