HGV Technician

Archers Transport are a family run business based n Coldfield established in 1972. Archers specialise in moving forklifts, machinery, hiab, plant and building products. Fleet is 90% Scania plus associated trailer fleet.

Archers Transport are seeking a fully trained HGV Trailer fitter/technician to join their already successful team working within a workshop. You need to be a team player, able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative. Class 1 or 2 preferred - we would consider without license.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HGV Trailer fitter/technician who must possess a natural aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair, a thorough knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and be able to demonstrate a solid career history.

As an experienced individual, you will be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing. Duties involve carrying out inspections, maintenance and repair work expected of an HGV technician. Duties to include:
Prep & Presentation for VOSA tests

6 weekly Inspections and fault repair

Preventative Maintenance

Fault Diagnostics

Gearbox & Clutch replacements

Brake rectification (ABS/EBS)

Trailer work

All associated paperwork, reporting and admin

Shift: Flexible Mon - Fri (Days) + overtime + Sat am as required.
