Pathway Coordinator - Child and Adolescent Mental Health
We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and resilient CAMHS Pathway Coordinator to join our ADHD Assessment Service. This role plays a vital part in supporting children and young people referred for ADHD assessment, ensuring they and their families experience a structured, reassuring, and well-coordinated journey from referral through to assessment, treatment, and ongoing care.
As a key point of contact for patients, parents/guardians, clinicians, GPs, schools, and internal teams, you will deliver clear communication and strong operational coordination - helping families feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their time with the service.
Responsibilities- Manage referrals via e‑RS and email, ensuring accurate and timely patient onboarding
- Coordinate triage calls, Assessment A & B appointments, and follow‑up reviews
- Obtain and monitor required documentation (e.g. Photo I.D, consent forms, informant questionnaires)
- Provide administrative and technical support during both face‑to‑face and virtual consultations
- Process, quality check, and distribute clinical reports using EMIS and Hero Health
- Support titration scheduling and ongoing continuing care pathways
- Liaise with GPs, schools, and external professionals to support shared care and communication
- Act as the first point of contact for patients and guardians, providing calm, empathetic, and professional guidance
- Escalate safeguarding or clinical concerns appropriately in line with service policy and governance procedures
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records in line with GDPR and Caldicott Principles
This is a full‑time role (37.5 hours per week). You would be expected to work in the office three days a week from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and two days from home from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. The office is located in Sutton Coldfield. Please note that this role cannot be fully remote.
What You’ll Need- Experience in a healthcare, Children/Adolescent Services, or patient‑facing administrative role
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with children, young people, and families
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence working with confidential patient data and digital systems
- A professional, empathetic, and resilient approach when supporting vulnerable service users
- Experience with in ADHD or wider mental health services
- Passion for delivering first‑class, patient‑centred, safe and effective care
- Familiarity with EMIS Web, Hero Health, or similar clinical systems
- Understanding of shared care processes
- Experience supporting virtual and face‑to‑face consultations
- Experience with in ADHD or wider mental health services
