Job title: Experienced Autism Support Worker (nights)

Location: Sutton Coldfield

Salary: £12.31 per hour

Contract: Permanent 40 hours per week (NOT OPEN TO SPONSORSHIP)

Essential: Experience in an Autism Support setting and managing challenging Behaviour is essential

Shifts: 9.45pm until 7.30am, includes working some weekends.

Service

Vermont House is a bespoke Residential Service designed to support up to six autistic adults, or those with learning disabilities and associated needs, to develop the skills and confidence necessary to lead a more independent life.

Support Worker duties
  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals & daily activities such as arts, crafts, hobbies
  • Assisting with the development of person‑centred plans for our residents
  • This includes employment, education and other opportunities
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments
  • Providing personal care where needed always working towards more independence
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development
