Junior Paraplanner

We’re on the lookout for a Technical Support /Paraplanner to join a growing and respected Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) firm in Sutton Coldfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with advisers, paraplanners, and the compliance team in a role that offers both variety and real impact.

As a key member of the Technical Support / Paraplanning Team
, you’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting financial advisers with technical queries and tax calculations (CGT, bond gains, pension income).
• Assisting in cashflow modelling using Voyant.
• Gathering and analysing key client data, valuations, and product information.
• Liaising with platforms and providers to obtain detailed investment info.
• Ensuring workflows are efficient and compliance standards are met.
• Supporting compliance with documentation and FCA regulations.
• Identifying process improvements and contributing to team development.

• Experience in a technical support or administrative role in an IFA or financial planning firm.
• Knowledge of financial products – pensions, ISAs, bonds, protection.
• Familiarity with FCA regulations and financial advice processes.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Intelligent Office, Microsoft Office, and ideally, tools like Voyant or Dynamic Planner.
• Certificate in Financial Services or working towards CII Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent).
• Experience with cashflow modelling tools (e.g., Voyant).
