Start Date: April 2026 (Post-Easter)
Contract: Temporary until end of academic year (with view to permanent)
Salary: MPS/UPS (paid to scale)

A well-regarded secondary school in Sutton Coldfield (B75) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their successful Science department from April 2026 (after Easter). This is a full-time position running until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Confidently teach all three Science specialisms (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
• Ideally specialise in Physics or demonstrate strong confidence teaching Physics up to and including A-Level
• Plan, prepare and assess in line with the National Curriculum and exam board specifications
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Contribute positively to a supportive and forward-thinking department

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have recent, relevant experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
• Demonstrate excellent classroom presence and strong behaviour management skills
• Possess secure and well-rounded knowledge of the Science National Curriculum
• Be confident delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that support all learners
• Show commitment to raising attainment and fostering a passion for Science
