Teaching Personnel are seeking a qualified and dedicated Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to work within a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Sutton Coldfield area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Science and committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will primarily teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilites:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Physics
Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Assess, record and report on students’ progress in line with school policies
Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school procedures
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Attend staff meetings, parents’ evenings and relevant school events as required
Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Physics or a related Science subject
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physics
Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
Excellent classroom management skills
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
The ability to motivate and inspire students
Strong communication and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
