Position: Wet Worker Engineer (Permanent)
Job Overview
Nuco Solutions are recruiting an experienced Commercial Heating Wet Worker Engineer to join our busy Commercial Service Department. This role involves installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing pipework and heating fixtures connected to district heating systems within residential properties. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs efficiently, and ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

* Diagnose faults and identify the correct tools and materials for repair

* Install, maintain, and repair radiators, cylinders, valves, and pipework

* Replace/install radiators and associated pipework

* Replace/install 2-port and 3-port control valves and immersions, including wiring

* Replace/install cylinders, thermal stores, tanks, and ancillary equipment

* Upgrade and repair heating and hot water systems

* Isolate and cap leaking radiators and valves

* Inspect plumbing and heating systems and replace worn components

* Complete written and electronic reports and site logs

* Attend heating and hot water callouts with a high first-time fix rate

Call-Out & Overtime

* Compulsory 1 in 5 call-out rota

* £450 per week call-out retainer

* Time and a half:
Monday–Saturday call-outs

* Double time:
Sunday call-outs

Requirements

* Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing (or equivalent)

* Experience working in plant rooms and commercial heating systems

* Strong experience with HIUs (Heat Interface Units)

* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Strong communication, customer service, and organisational skills
