Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Manager
Location:
Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire Rate: £30 - £35 per hour umbrella rate Duration: 6 months About the Role My client is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Manage, the MEP Manager will be responsible for the coordination, planning, design integration, and delivery of all MEP systems within the project. This role requires overseeing the installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Acting as the key liaison between architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, you will ensure all MEP works are completed to code, operate efficiently, and contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency objectives. Your leadership will be critical in balancing operational requirements with design aesthetics, driving innovation, and ensuring smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, design coordination, and implementation of MEP systems on site.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors and internal teams to ensure quality and compliance.
• Liaise with design teams, clients, and contractors to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
• Ensure all MEP installations meet statutory regulations, safety standards, and sustainability goals.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
• Support innovation and energy efficiency initiatives within MEP works.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. About You
• City & Guilds 17th / 18th edition in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Civil Engineering
• Proven experience in a similar MEP management role, preferably on large-scale civil engineering projects.
• Experience working on major infrastructure or civils projects is essential.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Must hold a valid CSCS White or White/Yellow AQP card.
• Full UK driving licence required. Skills
