We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team and help create a positive, engaging, and effective learning environment.
About the Role:
As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about education, confident in delivering structured support, and equipped with the knowledge and training gained through a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification. You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, support whole-class learning, and promote pupil progress.
Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, effective, and differentiated lessons
- Prepare classroom resources, learning materials, and activity setups
- Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions to support pupils' academic and social progress
- Provide support for students with additional learning needs or EHCPs
- Supervise pupils during lessons, playtimes, group work, and transitions
- Assist with assessments, observations, and maintaining accurate records
- Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (essential)
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in an educational setting (desirable)
- Strong understanding of child development and teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Good organisational skills and the ability to use initiative
- First Aid certification (preferred)
- Additional training in SEN, safeguarding, or behaviour support (preferred)
Working Conditions:
- Full-time or part-time hours available
- Classroom-based role working closely with young children
- May include physical tasks such as setting up equipment or supporting active play
