Prototype Wire Person

Role: Prototype Wire PersonLocation: West SussexHours: Full time, Mon - Thurs (8:30am - 5:00pm) and Fridays (8:30am - 12:30pm)Pay: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Prototype Wire Person to join one of our clients, an innovative business based in West Sussex.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering teams to build and test complex electrical systems and prototype control panels within a collaborative technical environment.

The Requirements:

• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Experience with in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to wire complex panels and systems from schematic drawings
• Knowledge of European Standards and Directives, UL and FCC requirements
• IT literate with the ability to work with CAD schematic drawings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Flexible and collaborative working approach

The Role:

• Wiring complex panels and electrical systems from schematic diagrams
• Terminating cables using industry standard techniques
• Carrying out connector soldering and cable crimping
• Supporting the design of prototype systems alongside engineering teams
• Using CAD packages to read and amend schematic drawings
• Testing completed cabinet builds to ensure functionality
• Supporting continuous improvement and efficient working practices
• Ensuring quality and compliance procedures are followed
