Senior Site Agent - Regional Civil Engineering business - East

Overview

We are recruiting for a Senior Site Agent to join us here  are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK. Schemes are located within East Sussex, and the successful candidate would also be located here or able to easily commute to all areas of the county.

• Manage multiple construction sites to achieve required project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, reducing environmental impact and cost control.
• Deliver multiple ongoing projects to the required programme, while managing change within the requirements of the contracts.
• Work closely with the Octavius team and Clients to ensure projects are completed safely and meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Lead by example by engendering a collaborative culture throughout the team, including suppliers and customers, ensuring everyone works towards a common vision of vibrant delivery with safety and quality at its core.

• Evidenced experience of managing Highway Construction/Improvements.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills, with an ability to prioritise and manage tasks simultaneously without compromising on minimum standards and quality.
• Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
• Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering.
• Temporary Works Co-ordinator (desirable).
• Good level of IT skills including MS Project, Excel.
• Good level of programme management and application of conditions of contract (NEC, ICE, etc).
• Full Driving Licence.

• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience or relevant qualification.
• NVQ Level 6 or above in construction related discipline.
• SMSTS qualified.
