Cleat are partnered with a well-established engineering & services organisation operating across multiple sectors internationally.

Our client is looking for an Electrical Authorised / Appointed Person (Low Voltage) to ensure electrical safety and regulatory compliance across a high spec critical project in West Sussex. This is a hands-on, site-focused role where you’ll manage permits, safe systems of work, and related electrical control activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the designated Authorised / Appointed Person (APLV) for electrical work.

* Issue and manage electrical permits to work.

* Supervise electrical isolation, testing and energisation activities.

* Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.

* Supervising lock off tag off procedures LOTO

* Conduct site inspections, audits and record keeping.

* Work closely with site teams to maintain safe electrical practices.

Requirements

* Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

* APLV training / certification.

* Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices and standards (e.g., BS 7671 where applicable).

* Previous experience in a similar authorised person or electrical safety role.
