About the Role
Onpoint Care Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable Teaching Assistants to support a wide range of schools across East Sussex, including mainstream, SEN, and SEND settings.

You’ll work across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4, supporting pupils with a variety of needs and learning styles.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing in‑class support across different subjects and year groups
* Offering 1:1 support where required
* Assisting with small‑group activities and interventions
* Supporting pupils with SEN/SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs
* Helping maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
* Assisting teachers with learning activities and classroom preparation
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
* Adapting confidently to different school settings and teaching styles
Essential Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working in a primary or secondary school
* Understanding of safeguarding and child development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and resilience
* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN/SEND
* Familiarity with EHCPs, behaviour plans, or structured support strategies
* Experience in SEMH, autism support, or specialist SEND environment
