Job Title: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Location: Susanville, California (Correctional Facility)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (6 to 9 months, with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $55.00 - $57.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are hiring a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to provide mental health care in a correctional setting in Susanville, CA. This role offers competitive pay, stable hours, and the opportunity to convert to a permanent state role with full benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-call crisis services and emergency consultations during the workday
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including review of substance abuse and criminal history
- Evaluate and document suicide risk accurately and professionally
- Provide psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and individual evaluations in dynamic correctional environments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Prepare clinical documentation, case summaries, and consult on complex psychiatric conditions
- Monitor and report on patient progress, ensuring ethical compliance and mandatory reporting
- Actively participate in care coordination, case reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings
Minimum Requirements
- Experience:12 continuous months of LPCC experience within the last 3 years in a public or private institution
- Education:Masters degree in counseling or a related field
- License:Active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Certifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Identification:Valid Drivers License or Passport
