Salary: £39.04 per hour

Contract: Minimum 6 months, Full Time/Part Time

Office Requirement: Kingston office, 3 days per week

An exciting locum opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker to join the Looked After Children team in Surrey. This role is ideal for professionals with a minimum of three years’ post‑qualifying experience in a local authority setting. If you qualified after September 2012, completion of the ASYE is required. What you will do

Conduct assessments and develop care plans to meet the needs of looked after children.

Act as a key worker, providing consistent support to children and their families.

Coordinate with multi‑agency teams, including healthcare and education professionals, to deliver holistic care.

Advocate for children’s needs in meetings and reviews, ensuring their voices are heard.

Maintain accurate and timely records and reports to support departmental objectives.

Mentor and guide junior staff, promoting best practices and high‑quality social work.
