SEMH Teacher - Specialist Setting (Epilepsy & Neurological Conditions)

Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £130 - £200 dependant on qualifications and experiece
We are seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school supporting children and young people with epilepsy and associated neurological, emotional, and mental health needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a highly supportive, therapeutic environment where small class sizes and multidisciplinary collaboration allow staff to make a genuine difference to pupils' lives.
The Role
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs and epilepsy
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development
Work closely with therapists, clinicians, and support staff to implement individual education and care plans
Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to support learning and wellbeing
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
Has experience working with SEMH needs, SEND, or vulnerable learners
Has a strong understanding of behaviour support and emotional wellbeing
Is calm, patient, and resilient, with excellent communication skills
Is committed to inclusive education and safeguarding
Experience working with pupils with epilepsy, neurological conditions, or in specialist settings is desirable but not essential-full training and ongoing professional development will be provided.
