SEN tutor

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group tuition for children with a variety of learning needs

Tailor lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles, ensuring each child can thrive academically and socially.

Track and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods as required to ensure maximum progress.

Work closely with parents, guardians, and educational professionals to provide holistic support for each student.

Foster a supportive and positive learning environment that encourages self-confidence and a love of learning.

Use a range of educational tools, resources, and technologies to enhance learning experiences.

Requirements:

Proven experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), either in a tutoring or teaching capacity.

A relevant qualification (e.g., SEN teaching assistant qualification, PGCE, or equivalent) is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of a variety of SEN strategies and approaches, including experience with specific conditions such as ASD, dyslexia, and ADHD.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children to help them reach their potential.

Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults (parents, guardians, and other professionals).

Enhanced DBS check (or willing to apply for one).
