Key Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the Breakfast Club as a Breakfast Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor at our club at Lovelace Primary School, Chessington (KT9)
- Print off daily registers & manage safe and secure "sign in & sign out" process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents at all times
- Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities accordingly to children each afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary)
- Purchase healthy breakfast for the Breakfast Club
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead in a timely fashion
- Ensure the Breakfast Club operates to Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies & procedures at all times
- Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary
- You ideally have min 2 years managerial / supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting
- A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential
- Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre‑School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant
- Be reliable and passionate over everything else
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years
