Compensation: £11.10 - £12.25 / hour
DescriptionWe are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic assistant to support the After School Club Manager in providing a safe, organised experience for children at Lovelace Primary School. The role will involve setting up activities, encouraging participation, assisting with snack time, and ensuring a clean and tidy environment. You will also develop strong relationships with children, maintain awareness of any additional needs, and adhere to Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the club.
- Help set up, organise and deliver a range of activities daily and encourage children to participate.
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of snack time.
- Be aware of and maintain sensitivity for children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Develop strong relationships with all children, ensuring every child enjoys FUN at the club.
- Gain a thorough understanding of Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding.
- Leave all activity areas clean and tidy at the end of each day.
- Passion or interest in working within a childcare, early years, or playwork setting.
- Fun and energetic nature.
- Reliable, with effective communication skills with colleagues and children.
- Ability to relate and engage with children aged 4-11 years.
- Opportunity to gain qualifications and further growth & development for suitable candidates.
- Full training and inductions will be provided to all Assistants.
This role would suit someone with experience in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.
