We are looking for an After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor for our club at Tolworth School in Tolworth, Surrey (KT6). This role is part‑time, term‑time only, Monday to Friday 3.00 – 6.00 pm.
RoleAs After School Club Supervisor you will have overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day operations and management of the club, supervising and directing a small team to ensure a safe and organised running of the club, fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office.
Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of the After School Club at Tolworth School
- Print off daily registers and manage safe and secure sign‑in / sign‑out process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents at all times
- Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities accordingly to children each afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary)
- Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Safeguarding Officer in a timely fashion
- Ensure the After School Club operates to Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies & procedures at all times
- Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary
- At least 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting
- A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential
- Experience working in a primary school, pre‑school or nursery setting (e.g. teaching assistant, early years educator or nursery manager/assistant) would be advantageous
- Reliable and passionate about the role
- Able to relate and engage with children aged 4‑11 years

Monday to Friday 3.00 – 6.00 pm, term‑time only.
