Position:
Driver / Labourer.

Shift: Monday – Friday.

Location:

Surrey, BC.

Forbes Bros. Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced Driver / Labourer (full‑time, permanent) to join our growing FB Bullet team based out of Surrey, BC. Specializing in shallow utility construction in the lower mainland, the FB Bullet team continues to see significant growth in the region. The Driver / Labourer will report to the Surrey office daily and travel to project site(s) with the crew members.

The Driver / Labourer will be responsible for transporting designated equipment and machines as scheduled to various project sites in an efficient manner. The Driver / Labourer will adhere to all applicable safety protocols and procedures during all operations and assist crew members with routine tasks when driving activity is not scheduled.

• Proficiently drive and operate assigned vehicle(s), with trailer when required
• Take scheduled delivery instructions from supervisors and dispatch/execute knowing the pit and yard locations
• Loading and unloading equipment from transportation trailer, and spot when required
• Effectively chain down equipment for transportation
• Complete pre‑trips and preventative maintenance as required
• Complete all required paperwork daily
• Adhere to safety protocols and policies as outlined
• Provide labor support in various functions as required by project when no driving activity is scheduled
• Ensure cleanliness of sites by routinely removing garbage and other debris
• Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

• Class 1 or Class 3 Drivers License with air brakes,
  is required
• Minimum one (1) year of driving experience is required
• Driving experience in the construction industry or civil construction, an asset
• Ability to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards with crew members
• Ability to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate remote/site work schedules
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
• Able and willing to present a valid Driver's License and an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract

As per client and site requirements, candidate may be required to undergo pre‑access drug & alcohol testing.
