About the OpportunityAurora Electric Inc. is looking for a full-time Electrical Foreperson based out of our offices in Kelowna or Penticton, BC
, working on site across projects throughout the Okanagan region
.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this position is accountable for leading an electrical crew on construction sites, overseeing daily field operations, coordinating labour and materials, supporting project schedules, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, company safety policies, and the Canadian Electrical Code.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for supervising multi-family residential and commercial electrical builds, managing crews of up to 25 electricians through rough-in and finishing stages, overseeing large distribution and fire alarm installations, and maintaining strong safety, quality, and site organization standards throughout construction.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading and supervising electrical crews on active multi-family and commercial construction sites
- Planning and organizing daily work activities while coordinating labour requirements with Project Managers and HR
- Managing site materials, including forecasting and coordinating B materials and lot releases
- Overseeing large electrical distribution installations, including 1,200 amp services and fire alarm systems
- Reviewing IFC drawings, layouts, and submittals to ensure accurate execution
- Supporting project schedules through three-week lookaheads and ongoing coordination
- Conducting field-level hazard assessments, leading toolbox meetings, and enforcing safety procedures
- Reviewing and entering timesheets while mentoring apprentices and maintaining workmanship standards

About YouTo qualify, you will need a Red Seal Electrician certification
, along with 5+ years of experience leading multi-family residential, commercial, or institutional electrical construction projects as a Foreperson
.
The following are required:
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driver's abstract
- Ability and willingness to travel across the Okanagan as project needs require
- Comfort working on active construction sites, including working at heights when necessary
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience leading electrical crews of 10 or more workers
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or comparable construction software
- Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
- Proven experience with large electrical distribution systems, ideally 1,200 amps and above
