- Wage: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday – 0900 to 1700
Allied Universal is seeking a professional and reliable Security Site Supervisor to join our team at a busy shopping centre in Guildford, Surrey, BC. This high‑traffic retail environment requires a strong security presence to support guest safety, tenant needs, and property protection.
As a Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. You will be responsible for regular patrols, incident response, reporting, and providing support to mall guests and retailers.
Qualifications / Requirements- Valid BC Security Worker Licence in good standing
- Completion of Basic Security Training (BST)
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 or 2 (OFA‑1) or willingness to obtain within 60 days
- High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary in Criminology, Security Management, or related field considered an asset
- 3–5 years of security experience in a high‑traffic environment (mall, retail, commercial, or similar)
- 2+ years in a supervisory or lead‑hand role (Shift Lead, Senior Guard, Acting Supervisor, etc.)
- Proven experience in incident response, report writing, and customer service
- Experience working with or coordinating third‑party contractors, tenants, and building management is an asset
- Strong understanding of mall security operations, including:
- Access control & key control
- Patrols, CCTV monitoring, and alarm response
- Incident reporting and evidence preservation
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team of security officers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports, emails, and tenant/management interaction
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced or high‑pressure situations
- Comfortable using Guard Tour systems, incident management software, radios, email, and basic MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Scheduling and payroll experience
- Professional, calm, and customer‑service oriented demeanor
- High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability
- Confident dealing with escalated situations, including trespassers, disturbances, and medical calls
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision
- Willing and able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, including on‑call or overtime as required by site operations
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as part of patrols and incident response
