Join us as a Technical Sales Representative at Applied Industrial Technologies - Canada
. The role is based in Surrey, BC and offers an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual.
In this relationship‑based sales role you will report to the General Manager and assist in maintaining commitments as we expand. You will grow your territory and earnings by bringing in new business and developing repeat business relationships within existing accounts. This requires engaging engineers, maintenance, purchasing, and others through a consultative approach to help clients achieve superior performance.
Responsibilities- Develop new business and maintain existing territory
- Prospect new customers, set appointments and demonstrate product benefits
- Build strategic relationships with customers to identify and leverage their business goals, growth strategies, and profit drivers, and deliver the appropriate value proposition
- Work with management to develop sales strategies and new business prospects
- Respond to customer product inquiries
- Engage in direct sales activities and promote existing and new products
- Anticipate client direction and objectives
- Manage a robust sales territory
- Maintain cooperative and productive team relationships
- Attend training and sales meetings as required
- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial component/solution sales
- Sales and service oriented with a professional attitude
- Good organizational skills and ability to prospect for new clients
- Ability to use technology to source components and information
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Ability to build relationships with inside sales force
- Analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Drive for growth and profitability; meet or beat annual sales goals
- Enthusiasm and desire to contribute to a winning culture
Base compensation ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience, technical competencies, and certifications.
