Marketing Associate – Pillexa

Full-time (35-40 hrs/week) | Hybrid (Vancouver/Surrey)

Pillexa builds and supports modern healthcare and wellness brands at the intersection of science, culture, and design. We’re looking for a sharp, early-career Marketing Associate who lives on social media, understands internet culture instinctively, and is excited to execute day-to-day marketing across multiple brands.

You will help with bringing social media, brand and creative strategy to life, keep our social channels and ambassador programs running smoothly, and surface insights that inform future direction.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants fast learning, real responsibility, and hands-on exposure to brand-building in healthcare and wellness.

What You’ll Own
Social Media Execution (Primary)
  • Own day-to-day Instagram posting (and support Tik Tok) across multiple brands

  • Write clear, engaging captions aligned with brand voice and guidelines

  • Schedule posts, maintain cadence, and manage content calendars

  • Adapt trends quickly into on‑brand content formats

  • Track basic performance metrics and flag what’s resonating

  • Find collaborators and opportunities for growth

Community, UGC & Ambassador Programs
  • Manage DMs, comments, and inboxes within brand and compliance guidelines

  • Act as a primary point of contact for ambassadors and creators

  • Coordinate onboarding, follow‑ups, asset requests, and deliverables

  • Source, organize, tag, and catalogue UGC content

  • Maintain creator lists, trackers, usage rights, and content libraries

  • Surface community insights, FAQs, and recurring themes to the team

Content, Copy & Production Support
  • Support writing of social copy, light email copy, and short‑form educational content

  • Assist with content production by pulling references, trend examples, and shot ideas

  • Support shoot days when needed: prep, props, references, BTS, light asset capture

  • Help QA content for tone, clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment

  • Create simple graphics or story assets in Canva

AI & Tools
  • Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, AI image/video tools) to support ideation, drafting, repurposing, and organization

  • Assist with visual experimentation and rapid content iteration using AI where appropriate

  • Use AI to speed up workflows while following brand and compliance guidance

Coordination & Support
  • Support the Head of Brand and Head of Influencers & Partnerships with execution and follow‑through

  • Keep assets, files, and documentation organized (Drive, Notion, etc.)

  • Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables to help projects move forward smoothly

Who You Are
  • Extremely online — you intuitively understand IG/Tik Tok trends and formats

  • Strong written and spoken English skills; confident communicating via captions, DMs, and email

  • Organized, responsive, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple projects

  • Comfortable using Canva, Cap Cut (or similar), Google Drive and Asana

  • People-oriented and enjoys creator and community communication

  • Curious about health, wellness, science, or startups

  • Excited to learn, take ownership, and grow into bigger responsibility

Nice to Have
  • Experience running a personal or brand social account

  • Familiarity with AI creative tools (image, video, or writing)

  • Basic photography or videography skills

  • Experience creating UGC or appearing on camera

  • Experience supporting influencer or ambassador programs

  • Exposure to healthcare, wellness, or science content (not required)

Experience
  • 0–3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, social media, or administrative support role

  • Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field (diploma or degree required)

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms

  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns across digital channels (social media, email, website, or paid ads)

  • Experience creating, scheduling, or coordinating content for platforms such as Linked In, Instagram, Facebook, or Tik Tok

  • Familiarity with basic marketing tools such as Canva, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities

Perks

  • 2 weeks vacation

  • Hybrid work environment (3 days in office)
