We’re searching for a Director, Commercial Insurance Small Business Solutions. Are you searching for new possibilities?

Westland Insurance Group Ltd. is growing, and we’re looking for a collaborative and results-driven commercial insurance leader to lead our Small Business Solutions team. As Director, Commercial Small Business Solutions, you will be responsible for coaching and developing a team of Business Advisors while driving disciplined growth, strong client retention, and operational excellence across the portfolio. This role is a hybrid role based in the Surrey, BC Head Office, with travel as required.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $112,000 to $140,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

Why we’ll love you:

  • 5–7 years of experience in an insurance-related role, with 3–5 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through sales, service, and operational execution
  • Proven ability to meet business results through strong, inspirational leadership
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing business advisors and future leaders
  • Strong commercial lines expertise with the ability to guide advisors on relationship management and account stewardship
  • High level of personal and professional integrity with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional business leaders to solve complex problems
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions considered an asset
  • Level 2 General Insurance License required
  • Industry designations such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, or FCIP preferred
  • Willingness to travel as required
