Competitive Salary $70,000-$95,000 and Benefits
Our growing Surrey based client is one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality industrial goods in North America. They are seeking a skilled and industrious Warehouse Manager to oversee their Surrey warehouse and yard. This position will manage the day-to-day warehouse activities leading a team of employees to ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of inventory and movement of goods.
The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, proven leadership capabilities and a drive to bring innovative continuous improvement initiatives to their department every day.
The Role:
- With workplace cleanliness and organization in mind, you will work with your team to meet highest standard of maintenance and housekeeping of the warehouse during its day-to-day operations
- Assign daily work duties to warehouse workers ensuring safety, service and productivity and reliability Requirements are met
- Creating a daily schedule of expected inbound & outbound shipments
- Provide training, support and direction to employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Demonstrate leadership through effective teamwork and demonstrating a positive attitude
- Organizing & completing monthly cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Constantly looking for ways to improve the distribution and packing process and ensuring the team meets or exceeds quality standards
- Overseeing order processing and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- Monitor department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and offer improvements based on the metrics
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years hands on shipping, delivery and receiving experience as well as prior experience in a supervisory/leadership role
- Post-Secondary education is an asset
- Ability to collaborate and motivate within a team environment
- Ability to identify various projects for improving the facilities and related systems
- Knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with ERP Systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills along with a sense of urgency and personal accountability
