Summary:

We are looking to add an optometric assistant to join our team at a private practice in Surrey. They must make it a priority to greet our patients and customers in a pleasant manner while maintaining a smooth flow of the office.

The primary role would be in the area of technician where responsibilities would include pre-testing patients in preparation for their appointment with the doctor and performing ancillary testing (OCT, Humphrey visual field). A secondary area of focus would be in scheduling appointments and assisting with doctor communications, the majority of which would be through the use of electronic health care records software.

In addition, there would responsibilities in the area of optician including helping patients pick their frames and dispensing lenses.

Preferred candidates would have previous optometric experience, an aptitude for computers, including electronic health care records, and be self-motivated.
