The salary range for this position is CAD $54.16 - $77.86 / hour

Bring your demonstrated technical and collaboration skills to this exciting opportunity as a Senior Leader (Asset Information), Technical Services – Asset Risk Quality:
Technical Services (ARQTS), within Engineering & Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, quality, integrity, and optimization of asset and maintenance information from redevelopment projects and within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including, but not limited to, Building Information Modelling (BIM), maintenance data management, asset data quality, and associated business processes.

Build on your education and experience as you:

  • Coordinate the development and application of technical standards, specifications and guidelines for building and infrastructure systems, equipment and components with a focus on asset and maintenance information, including but not limited to specialized areas such as BIM, asset data quality, maintenance requirements
  • May act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) advising in development and delivery of capital projects, maintenance, and operations of facilities
  • Establish team structure and capabilities by gathering input from stakeholders, identifying needs and skills required
  • Direct and supervise staff and external suppliers by assigning work, orientating resources, developing and implementing appropriate staff development and retention plans; conducts performance evaluations as required
  • Provide leadership and guidance to an integrated and multi-functional team on various aspects of facility information system and data standards, performance, operations, risks and asset stewardship strategies
  • Develop owner’s asset management requirements and statements of requirements for capital projects in consultation with project teams, consultants, and facility management (FM) staff
  • Participate in facility system, infrastructure and equipment standards review for a wide range of projects, and works with teams, project managers, consultants and contractors as needed to optimize system performance
  • Facilitate asset and maintenance information submission, document handover to operations, supporting data quality and compliance for a wide range of capital projects including major redevelopment projects

Are you motivated to join our team? We will be looking for you to have the following:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical or relevant discipline
  • Ten (10) years’ recent, related experience with proven track record in asset management, asset information system, BIM, infrastructure project management, CMMS data management, associated business process optimization preferably in a health care context
  • Sound understanding of Infrastructure Asset Management and ISO
    55000
  • Certificate in Asset Management desirable
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable

The role will be based across two locations, with flexibility built in to support operational needs. The successful candidate will report to the New Surrey Hospital site 1–2 days per week and to the Royal Columbian Hospital site 1–2 days per week, depending on workload and business requirements.

The Senior Leader, Technical Services leads an evolving team responsible for the development, quality, integrity and optimization of building and infrastructure technical systems, equipment and components. The focus is on system design, construction, operations and maintenance standards that impact safe and reliable asset performance. This includes air, water and other operational and life safety building systems best practice and risk mitigation achieved through optimum system standards, operations and performance.
